Production CIES is an organisation founded in 1992 in the city of Barcelona that assumes the concept of corporate social responsibility of the European Union, as the voluntary integration by companies of the social and environmental concerns in their commercial operations and in their relations with their stakeholders: shareholders, suppliers, customers, workers, local administrations and community. In March 2002 it joined the United Nations Global Compact in Spain promoted by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan. It also participates and forms part of the list of consultants of the Global Reporting Initiative, GRIP Europe.
